Toni McIntosh took home her first grand prix win at the Sonoma Horse Park CA recently with the lovely grey gelding Lexito. Lexito an 11 year old Holsteiner Gelding by Levisto is owned by P2 Capital.

Toni and husband Colin are US based Kiwis who run McIntosh Stables, a successful training barn, in Northern California. They have resided in the States since 2002.

McIntosh had plenty of competition in the $20,000 CWD Grand Prix at Sonoma Park. Twenty nine started the class with ten making it through to the jumpoff including fellow Kiwi Peter Breakwell and Lucas. The favourite for the class was Kristin Hardin who had three horses through to the jumpoff. Hardin looked like she had the class won with a fast clear but McIntosh had other plans producing a clear round and shaving one second off Hardin’s time.

Peter Breakwell had an even faster time than McIntosh, but couldn’t keep all the fences up finishing with a rail down and taking fifth place.
