 Latest news from Ashburton....

We have had a very successful start to the season with many new rowers taking part.  The lake is closed both Tuesday and Thursday nights 6 – 7.30pm – we have been fortunate with calm water most nights so far this season and several boats of the lake most nights.  Sunday morning before 9am is also closed for rowing.  The first two club training nights are free to new members, enabling you to give it a go before joining the club.  Membership for the first season is $75 – or alternatively we have introduced a fee of $5 per night – collected on the night.  November Newsletter here...

  Latest news from Kerrs Reach....

All clubs and schools are running full steam ahead for the summer season.  The 'Reach' is packed most afternoons and with this comes the frustrations of a lot of boats in a small area.  But with it comes the positives as well.  12 schools all training out of the same area creates a massive buzz and the momentum of this can only push standards up and create the very high quality environment that is Kerrs Reach.  As everybody sees the people they will be racing on a day to day basis, athletes are motivated to push their limits and train harder than ever.  Its an environment that is thoroughly enjoyable to be part of.
